Hello

Postby mark v » Sat Dec 09, 2006 12:12 pm

I just wanted to stop in and say I have become a new member.

I just joined the Tucker Automotive Club in November 2006.

I have been interested in the Tucker ever since I saw the Movie. I was way to young to ever know about the car before the Movie.

I find it fascinating about small companies that produce cars on small levels and leave one hell of a legacy behind when they are gone.

I currently own a 1981 Delorean DMC-12. It has a similar legacy like the Tucker when it closed up. Most people only know what they hear or read about Delorean closing down, most dont know the real facts and just assume it was only Drug related. Fact it was our Governments entrapment on how he got involved with the Drugs. Please PM me if you want the real story and not post untrue facts due to it being a touchy subject between Delorean owners.

Anyway I am hear to learn as much as I can about the Tucker. Unfortunately I could never afford one due to the rarity of the car and high Dollar amount it takes to purchase one.

I just went and visited Tucker #48 at the Museum in Wisconsin. I have some photos of it in one of my links at the bottom.

I hope I am welcomed to your forum and Club.

Hi mark v-

At the 2005 Convention in Chicago, there were a few guys from the DeLorean Club that came and took some photos with their cars and Tucker 1048. It's good to see a little overlap in interestes between the two groups and I must admit I am a DeLorean fan too.

Welcome to the Club and the Board!

Actually a painted panel swap was sort of in the works. www.delorean.com has several painted body panels that the factory was experimenting on.

I bet you Tucker owners wish you had a warehouse of parts like us delorean owners have.
